Week one - check!

One week done! It still feels strange to not be teaching (much). I have one class which I want to make awesome for those students. They are in Year 12 coming up to their final exams. We did a class survey where they talked about how they learn best, what their goals are. I really want to honour their dreams and help them get the best mark possible. It still feels like a conflict, years after I taught this way, to give them more than just examples - practice - repeat. It feels like that is all they want, but I can't go back there and be true to myself. I have never had a group like this (22 students) who were so quiet an unwilling to get involved in conversation together - lots to do!!

Setting daily goal is really important or the end of the day just feels like nothing has been done. The library has so much to improve on, it is going to be a fun ride!
